The 75th anniversary of the end of the Spanish Civil War provides an opportunity for us to reflect on modern Spain and to appreciate the breadth of research being carried out by PhD students on the period. This interdisciplinary poster exhibition, which was exhibited at the University of Sheffield from 24-28 March 2014, aims to show different approaches to the study of modern Spain from current PhD students from across the world. They show the strength and variety of hispanism in contemporary academia from across a variety of fields, such as literature, history and, art and film studies.
